SCOBIE TOP AT STABLEFORD AND SCRAMBLE
Richard Scoble showed he has fully recovered from a recent knee operation by completing an Easter winning double at Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club.
Richard won the Monthly Stableford with 40 points, and then joined up with Dave Bartlett, Darren Robertson and Richard Stanley to secure the Easter Texas Scramble with a score of 52.40.
Having also finished runner-up in a midweek stableford, Richard has now been cut to 9.2, his lowest ever handicap. The Monthly Stableford Division One runner-up was Simon Guy (36) with Gary Meszynski (35) third.
Division Two honours went to William Humphries (36), who was followed in by Ian Hatcher (34) and Richard Prosser (32).
Neil Jackson, Gary Meszynski, Mo Ismail and Peter Brooke were second in the Texas Scramble with 53.13, with the quartet of Jon West, Dave Bell, Trevor Mitchell and Willie Mack third with 54.47.
The Ladies’ Monthly Stableford was won by Chris Gould with 36 points, while victory in the Ladies’ Spring Trophy went to Stephanie Hart (33 points), who finished ahead of Barbara Butler (32), Anne Fisher (32), Pat Rowe (31) and Sheryl Jackson (31).
Westridge Golf Club’s PAR Competition was won by Ollie Kearney (15) +4 from Mick Sadler (24) +3.
The Weekend Stableford Division One honours went to Bob Cloke (16) with 40points, ahead of Gary Cox (10) 38pts. Ocb and Chris Royl (16) 38pts.
Division Two was won by Jasmine Royl (26) 43 points, from Brian Skelley (22) 42, and Helen Metcalfe (25) 40.
