The Wight Fair Writers Circle have launched a new short writing competition on the Isle of Wight.
The competition is open to all ages and is set to benefit two charities; The Isle of Wight Homeless and Love Russia Charity.
Cash prizes are to be awarded to the winners of each category, as well as book tokens for those runners up.
Adult Competition
First prize: £100 Second place: £75 Third place: £35
Over 12 on the 22nd May 2011
First Prize: £70 Second place: £50 Third place: £30
(Plus five further places winning £10 book tokens)
Under 12
First prize: £50 Second place: £30 Third place: £20
(Plus five further places winning £10 book tokens)
Entry to the competition is just £4 for all adult stories, and £2 for all under-18 entries. Entries close on 22nd May 2011, with the winners being presented with their prizes on 20th June 2011.
