An Island woman was transferred in a life saving medical transfer via helicopter from the Island last night
The Pensioner who was suffering from with pulmonary problems was transferred to Southampton General in Lord shill after doctors assessed her condition as too poorly to travel by land ambulance.
The Coastguard rescue helicopter 104 from Lee on the Solent was called in to perform the life saving transfer shortly after 19.45.
