A married couple in their 30s have been found dead by police in Shanklin The Gazette can reveal.
Police were called to Regal Court in Shanklin just after 6.20pm this evening(Monday August 9) after Paramedics attended the property.
The couple were discovered in a flat with injuries. A post mortem will be carried out in due course. The property remains sealed off with a police guard.
A neighbour within the block who did not wished to be named said the couple had only lived there a short time, he went on to say that he had heard a load of banging from the flat.
A spokeswoman for Hampshire and IW Police said “house to house inquiries have been carried out and we are waiting for a full crime scene investigation to take place to establish how the couple died”.
The spokeswoman went to say that the major crime team would be supervising the incident and an incident room had been set up at Ryde Police station.
