With rumors that Isle of Wight festival 2011 tickets are in short supply and have sold out prices have tripled on the blackmarket.
The price of a tickets on the black market has tripled over night “The Gazette” can reveal.
Touts have brought tickets in mass quantities and have no intention of going to the festival.
Not only reducing your chance of grabbing a ticket at a normal price, but making it even harder to know if they are the real thing.
There are plenty of ticket touts who have now hung up their fur coats and taken to working online, and eBay has now become the ticket tout haven.
If you do a search, you will see tickets, again, at stupidly high prices. Some people are genuine, but most are touts, check out their other items, don’t be surprised if its more tickets for yet more sold out events. Touts are leeches making money off people who really want to go to the festival. It’s playing dirty.
The Gazette attempt to purchase a ticket with a camping pass attached to it and found starting bids on E bay over 450 pounds. Nearly three times the purchase price.
A source has confirmed to The Gazette that a new allocation of tickets is about to be released by the festival organizers SOLO, so save you money, don’t get caught out, buy the real thing.
