WOMAN ARRESTED AFTER WASTING POLICE TIME

A Whippingham woman who claimed to be a victim of anti-social behaviour has been arrested by Island Police, “The Gazette” can exclusively reveal.

The woman from the Campfield Road area of Whippingham, claimed that her life had been made a misery because of anti-social behavior.

The arrest came after she featured in a news item played out the Island’s local radio station.

She made a passionate plead with the individual or group that were targeting her home to “Give yourselves up. Please stop. I want to know why they’re doing this. It’s making our lives a living hell.”

The Gazette has learnt that the 38 year woman has been arrested this evening by Island Police officers and interviewed over matters of wasting police time.

In the news report she claimed to have been keeping logs of the times of when her property had been attacked. She made further claimed that three windows had been broken her property.

The woman who “The Gazette”aren’t naming said that since December the bungalow she lives in has been a constant target by mindless vandals who have smashed windows and also claimed that a stone had left her with bruising after being hit.
A Hampshire Constabulary spokesman said: “Police can confirm a 38-year-old woman from the Isle of Wight was arrested this afternoon (Monday, January 17, 2011) on suspicion of causing wasteful employment of police under the Criminal Law Act 1967. She was taken to Newport Police Station for questioning, and later bailed shortly after 7pm tonight (Monday) until March 2, 2011 pending further enquiries.
