A NEW TOUCH OF GLASS TO ISLAND DRIVERS

Posted by Jason Kay On March - 9 - 2011 at 9:44 am

Professional drivers and motorists on the Isle of Wight now have their own dedicated branch of National Mobile Windscreens on the island, staffed by a local team to respond to their vehicle glass emergencies.

Previously drivers with broken or damaged vehicle glass had to rely on glass technicians from the Portsmouth branch who travelled across by ferry to respond to service calls.

Now, the new branch, which has opened at Rink Road Industrial Estate, Ryde, is already being hailed as a success with business more than 50 per cent ahead of target.

Branch manager Chris Dickinson and engineer Ian Evans, both locals who live on the island, provide a comprehensive glass repair or replacement service for commercial, passenger and agricultural vehicles as well as motorists, and can also arrange to handle glass requirements for specialist vehicles, motor homes, boats and caravans.

National Mobile Windscreens is the UK’s largest independent supplier of automotive replacement glass and the largest member of National Windscreens, which has 113 branches nationwide and a fleet of 700 mobile units to provide a rapid response to emergency calls.

The new branch can be contacted on 01983 613791.
