The Gazette can exclusivly reveal that an Island woman is recovering in hospital after drinking a bottle of bleach.
The unnamed women was treated by the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service at her home address in Freshwater, Isle of Wight yesterday (Wednesday April 20) after drinking the lethal mixture.
It was deemed that the woman’s condition was so serious that she needed to be transported to the mainland by air.
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Ambulance landed at Colwell Fields to transfer the suicidal individual to a specialist hospital for immediate treatment.
It is believed the woman is recovering in hospital in a serious, but stable condition.
