BREAKING NEWS: BOY ARRESTED FOR CLASSROOM STABBING

The IW Gazette can reveal a 15 year old boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault inflicting actual bodily harm following a stabbing in a classroom.
The incident happened at Sandown High School and police were called to the school around 10:40 this morning.
The injured victim, a 14 year old from the school was taken to St Mary Hospital suffering from a small chest wound. He was treated and has since been released.
UPDATE - 31st March
Following on from the arrest of the 15 year old boy at Sandown High School the Gazette can now reveal that the injured boy was treated at St Mary’s hospital for an open wound to his chest and was given two stitches after being struck by a chisel in a wood working lesson. Two police cars and an ambulance turned up at the school yesterday.
It’s also believed that the 15 year old youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons was also in possession of cannabis when arrested.

OMG what a shock hope the person stabbed is ok …!!!
What is the Island coming to…???
You hear about this this sort of stuff all the time on the mainland but you wouldn’t expect it over here. I’ve heard it was in a wood working lesson. I hope the person injured is OK!
Just to clarify (I was told by the teacher in the lesson, the boy who was stabbed was agrivating him for the past half an hour by throwing pieces of wood at him. The boy who ‘stabbed’ him didn’t do it intentionally. He picked up the chisel and the wooden handle came off. He threw it at him not intentionally to stab him but because he’d basically had enough of the boy agrivating him. As a result the handle scraped his chest (hit it then fell on the floor). The cut was minor and he walked casually into the ambulance so was clearly not in as much pain as it’s been made out to be. The Gazette has made out the stabbing was intentional and even the teacher has stated it was not (when I say intentional I mean, his aim wasn’t to stab the ‘victim’). All I can say is, neither was in the right. If the boy wasn’t being so immature as to throwing pieces of wood at him whilst the ‘stabber’ was working then none of this would of happened. I wont name the boy but I can tell you from experience that the boy isn’t the most pleasant of people nor the most mature. The ‘stabber’ from when I’ve spoken to him is a rather polite person. The cannabis that was found in his bag was no surprise, you search the school and you’d find ALOT more. Yes Sandown High School isn’t perfect…
