THE IW ELECTION 2010 RESULT IS NEAR
Ballot papers have now been verified.
70,387 votes have been cast on the Isle of Wight, representing a 64.03% turnout.
This is an increase on the 2005 turnout which was 61.3% said acting returning officer Steve Beynon he also said counters would accept ticks as well as crosses on ballot papers.
The count is now nearly over on the island and we are awaiting a result soon
